Centra Asphere NZ
A Centra RGP contact lens has components utilising a unique aspheric design that gives close alignment over the mid-peripheral corneal area. The aspheric geometry of the lens achieves slight apical clearance and is associated with a distinct band of edge lift. The lens is finished with a Mandel-type edge profile.
The Centra Aspheric design has no optic zone, so it follows a spherical central curve -3mm then flattens to achieve the axial edge specified.
AVAILABILITY
These lenses are manufactured as an RX lens.
FITTING
Initially the practitioner should choose a Centra lens that’ has a BCOR of 0.10mm steeper than the flattest K of the patient’s cornea. We are looking to achieve an alignment fit. The Centra Aspheric can be fitted slightly flatter than the Flat K, or on K if preferred.

PER CASE PLAN
To make used of the advantages of the per case plan, CLC requires the use of a Centra trial set. These sets can be purchased or loaned. If the initial lens has been selected after use of a Centra fitting set and the final Ex lens is unsuccessful, CLC will issue a credit for 50% of the per lens price.
Price variances are defined as:
- No exchange or refund for unsuccessful fits
- with use of Centra Trial Set
- +/- allows 2 exchanges per order
WARRANTY
RGP lenses come with a 30-day manufacturing warranty for defects. For an unsuccessful fit CLC will issue a 50% credit of the per lens price.
