Centra Soft Toric

Centra Soft Toric

The Centra Soft Toric lens has been developed at Corneal Lens Corporation NZ LTD for the correction of Astigmatism by a soft contact lens. The unique design is only available by utilizing the latest lathing technology.

The design utilizes dual elliptical back surface optic zones and a spherical periphery. This gives an enhanced alignment fit on an Astigmatic shaped cornea. The front surface has a unique dual weighting area unlike designs that use slab off technology to stabilize the lens. Oscillating toric tool technology is the method used to generate these weighting areas.

The Centra ST has generated reference marks at the 270 position. This eliminates the need for dots for location. The right lens 2 reference marks have a 20 degree total span. The left lens 3 reference marks also have a total span of 20 degrees; 10 degrees between each mark. The three marks on the lens are to assist the patient with identification of the left lens.

The Centra ST has achieved minimum thickness both centrally and throughout the flange. The comfort of the lenses is excellent. Center thickness of.07 is standard on minus lenses.
